The Pre-EmploymentCoordinatoris responsible forreviewing and evaluating background check results to support compliant and consistent hiring decisions. This roleadjudicatescriminal, employment, and education screenings in alignment with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. This position also serves as a key liaison between internal teams, applicants, and the background screening vendor to ensure a smooth andtimelyscreening process. Key Responsibilities Adjudicatebackground checks (criminal, employment, education, and MVR as applicable) Apply company guidelines and regulatory requirements (FCRA, EEOC, state/local laws) Assess discrepancies and document clear, audit-ready decisions Act as liaison with requesters, applicants, and screening vendor Support adverse action process in partnership with HR/compliance Identifytrends and recommend process improvements Coordinate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the screening vendor SupportAmericas Security, Health and Safety team as needed Required 3+ years experience with Expeditors Knowledge of criminal, education, and employment verifications Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills Strong communicationand organizational skills Preferred 2+ years in background screening, adjudication, or HR compliance Familiarity with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)and applicable hiring regulations Experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment Ability to interpret complex criminal records Experience with reporting, metrics, and performance monitoring Exposure to audits or regulated environments Process improvement and workflow optimization experience The role reports to theAmericas Director of Security,Healthand Safety and can sit anywhere in the U.S. Expeditors offers excellent benefits: Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick Time Health Plan: Medical Life Insurance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Personnel Development Program Growth opportunities within the company Employee Referral Program Bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr Expeditors International
