Salary range: $85K - $140K

Location: Johnstown, PA

Hybrid work policy: 5 days in-office in Johnstown, PA

About this role

We are looking for an Associate Attorney with 0-15 years (leaning on the more junior end of this range) of experience to join a welcoming, full-service law firm in Johnstown, PA. This is an opportunity for someone with ties to the area (or looking to return) who wants hands-on experience across multiple practice areas, a manageable 1,200 billable hour requirement, and a strong sense of community and work-life balance.

What will you be doing?

• Handling business, municipal, and estate planning matters across the firm's practice areas

• Appearing in court and gaining early, hands-on litigation experience

• Meeting with clients, drafting legal documents, and managing your own files

• Supporting senior partners (many in their 50s-80s) who need additional capacity

• Working across 20+ practice areas including townships, water/sewer authorities, and corporate matters

Key Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (or preparing to sit for the PA Bar)

• Interest or coursework in business law, municipal law, or estate planning

• Willingness to work fully in-person in Johnstown, PA (ties to the area or desire to relocate strongly preferred)

• Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and transition between practice areas

• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills

Salary

$85K - $140K ($85K-$140K base salary commensurate with experience, plus supplemental commission pay (1% bonus for billing over 28.5 hours/week). Full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, FSA, and PTO.)
