Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (06:30–18:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Minimum of 2 holidays within contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) serving adult patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, renal, oncologic, and stroke diagnoses
• Titrate IV drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin per protocolmanage and troubleshoot arterial lines and high-flow oxygen therapy equipment
• Read and independently interpret telemetry monitor strips each shift
• Float as needed to Med/Surg or ICU (PCU-acuity patients only)
• Maintain a strong focus on patient experience, medication communication, and responsiveness in a culturally diverse patient population

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated competency with arterial lines
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Must comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting with a similar patient population (cardiac, sepsis, stroke, dialysis)
• Experience caring for culturally diverse patient populations
• Flexibility, adaptability, and strong team communication skills
