Position Overview

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to lead and develop our relationship with JSW Steel USA.

In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial and operational liaison for the account. You will maintain strong relationships across JSW facilities—from plant management and melt shop personnel to corporate procurement—ensuring high service levels, managing product performance, and securing new volume opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Customer Relationship Management: Act as the lead point of contact for JSW Steel USA, fostering long-term relationships across plant operations, metallurgy, and purchasing.
• Commercial Performance: Achieve established annual account objectives, targeting a baseline gross margin contribution of $770,000 USD and a delivery volume of approximately 3,500 metric tons across electric arc furnace (EAF) and auxiliary operations.
• Business Retention & Growth: Maintain current refractory applications while identifying opportunities to expand our product footprint, with an immediate focus on re-establishing tundish refractory business.
• Technical & Field Coordination: Partner closely with Magna field service technicians during on-site product trials, machinery installations, and material performance reviews to resolve operational concerns promptly.
• Contract & Inventory Oversight: Lead commercial negotiations, manage supply agreements, and monitor demand forecasts and inventory levels to maintain consistent supply.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: 5+ years of account management, commercial sales, or technical support experience within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry, preferably involving refractory materials or slag conditioners.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steelmaking operations, including Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), ladles, and tundish systems.
• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated background in managing account profitability, contract negotiations, pricing models, and cost structures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities, with the skill to communicate effectively with both floor-level operations and corporate executives.
• Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel regularly to customer plant locations and trial sites. Valid driver’s license required.
