Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary.Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources.Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse.Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulances as necessary.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include:Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) (Preferred)Trauma Course (ITLS or PHTLS) (Preferred)Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Preferred)Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), VFIS Driver Training, or equivalent (preferred)6 months field experience in EMS (preferred)More about Marquette General HospitalAs a 222-bed specialty care hospital, UP Health System – Marquette receives patients from across the UP and provides care in 65 specialties and subspecialties.
