Division Manager

Job Title: Division Manager Location: San Diego Reports To: Area Manager Position Overview The Division Manager is a strategic leader responsible for the overall performance of a specific business division. You will oversee multiple Project Managers and/or Supervisors, driving operational excellence and "Service Excellence" for our customers. Your mission is to assist in growing the division’s footprint, maintain high-level customer relationships, and cultivate a culture where teammates are developed and empowered. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Assist in Developing and executing the division’s annual business plan. Identify new market opportunities and lead the expansion of services within your territory. P&L & Financial Accountability: Full responsibility for the division’s Profit & Loss. This includes budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning, and ensuring the division exceeds gross margin targets. The "Accident-Free" Mission: Act as the ultimate champion for safety. You don’t just "support" safety; you drive the initiative by holding leadership accountable for field audits, training compliance, and incident prevention. High-Level Customer Relations: Act as the primary executive contact for major utility partners. You will handle contract negotiations, service agreements, and resolve high-stakes operational challenges. Resource Allocation: Optimize the use of heavy equipment and manpower across multiple regions to ensure maximum efficiency and ROI on assets. Experience 10+ years in utility construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple teams. Education Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Business Administration preferred. Financial Acumen Mastery of P&L statements, job costing, and master contract structures. Technical Savvy Strong understanding of the telecom sector including regulatory requirements and industry trends. Leadership Proven ability to lead through others—managing managers rather than managing crews. Compensation and Benefits: Annual base salary starting at $95,000 annually with total target of $100-115K. Top-tier health, dental, and vision, along with a 401(k), profit sharing, and generous PTO. Company Vehicle: Take-home vehicle provided Travel: Most work is local to San Diego (office in Miramar). Occasional out-of-state travel, but rare.
