Job Title: Structural Welder (MIG) | Canton, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our team in Canton, OH. This position offers competitive hourly rates and provides an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving structural steel, aluminum, and stainless materials. Candidates will be required to work on a variety of shifts, ensuring flexibility and dynamic workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel, aluminum, and stainless materials with thickness ranging from 7 to 20 gauge.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures accurately.
• Utilize hand and power tools to fit and fabricate products.
• Lift materials weighing 50-75 lbs. occasionally to place and adjust for welding.
• Operate cranes to move materials safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in MIG (GMAW) welding on aluminum, stainless, and/or structural steel.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Ability to read tape measures accurately, down to 16ths.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding (GTAW) and stick welding (SMAW) is advantageous.
• Forklift operation experience is beneficial.
• Previous experience in job shops is preferred.

Work Environment

This role offers openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with a pay rate of $20-$26 per hour based on experience and a successful weld test. Enjoy a clean and effective working environment in a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt, steel toe boots, and safety glasses. Employees work in a facility that has recently expanded its product line, supporting a variety of industries including power generation, data centers, and more. Good attendance is crucial for long-term success in this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
