divh2Senior Buyer/h2pThe Senior Buyer procures materials, supplies, services, and MRO. The role is critical in driving efficient cost decisions and maintaining a sustainable supply chain. The Senior Buyer has a significant responsibility in fulfilling customer commitments and managing an annual purchasing spend of more than $50 million USD./pulliPartners with Planning and Production to develop procurement strategies and define ordering requirements on time horizons ranging from one week to 3 years./liliTrack and ensure inventory levels meet the business needs. This includes developing and managing reports and KPIs for usage, on-hand inventories, excess/obsolete inventories./liliActively gathers market intelligence to find new suppliers, new product substitutions, capacity changes, and regulatory changes./liliMakes tactical buying decisions. Execute on corporate sourcing programs and ensure compliance with all purchasing protocols./liliCommunicate with suppliers to obtain product and service information including price, availability, and delivery./liliGather quotations, examine bids, review contracts, negotiate pricing contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, and make recommendations for awards./liliAccurately enter all requisitions / purchase orders in the system on time, submit accurate orders to suppliers, and obtain written acknowledgements from suppliers./liliWork with all necessary departments to ensure spending budgets are achieved while maintaining necessary stock to deliver on our KPIs/liliMaintains procurement records on services and goods purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories./liliChampion procurement reporting and metrics./liliIssues quarterly reports on category spend, price per unit, contract compliance./liliMonitor vendor performance for quality and delivery/liliAssists in facilitating internal compliance and audit reporting./liliPerform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role./li/ulpKnowledge/Skills/Experience/pulliBachelors Degree and/or significant experience in a related field./lili5+ years of experience in a Procurement or Finance role ideally in the manufacturing industry./liliAttention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization/liliAbility to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization/liliExperience managing multiple vendors and assignments in a fast-paced environment./liliStrong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset/liliExcellent written and oral communication skills/liliProficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially use of Excel for writing formulas, and pivot tables.
