The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CMM programs for complex manufactured parts.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define measurement strategies.
• Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize existing programs for efficiency.
• Provide training and technical support to CMM operators.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience programming CMMs, preferably using PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve CMM program and measurement issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with a variety of CMM software platforms (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS) beyond the primary one used.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing quality.
• Ability to perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GD&T advanced concepts and their practical application in complex part inspection.
• Experience with automation or robotic integration for CMM inspection processes.
