Join a Growing Healthcare Revenue Cycle Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance billing, accounts receivable management, and claim follow-up procedures, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage medical billing activities for hospital and healthcare services

• Post insurance payments accurately to open accounts receivable balances

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies through payer follow-up

• Review, process, and track insurance refunds in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements

• Monitor claim status through payer portals and direct communication with insurance carriers

• Work denials and aging accounts receivable to maximize reimbursement

• Maintain a strong understanding of payer guidelines, billing regulations, and reimbursement policies

• Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting productivity and quality expectations

• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

✅ Experience with hospital billing

✅ Working knowledge of:

• Medicare

• Medicaid

• Commercial insurance plans

✅ Experience with:

• Insurance denials management

• Accounts receivable follow-up

• Claims status review and resolution

• Payment posting

✅ Ability to:

• Work independently with minimal supervision

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment

• Stay highly organized and detail-oriented

• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines

✅ Experience using EPIC or similar healthcare billing systems preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday-Friday

• 8-hour shifts

• Flexible start time available

• Hybrid schedule:

• Onsite: Tuesday & Thursday

• Remote: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Brook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
