Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State or compact license required in-hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required; CCRN or CMSRN or RN-BC preferred Must-Have: Driver's license must be included with submission Work Labor Day and weekend rotation required First-timers accepted based on experience Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs Open to accommodating block schedule Local applicants accepted within an 80-mile radius COVID-19 vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only Flu vaccine required; exemptions and declinations allowed Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. The position requires night shifts of 12 hours, three times a week. Nurses will work in a critical care environment with a daily census of 8 patients. Experience in a medical-surgical environment is preferred. Familiarity with the charting system Meditech is preferred. The role involves managing critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced interventions. Responsibilities include arterial line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management. Must be experienced in monitoring patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Additional duties include assisting with chest tube insertion/removal and managing high-output drains. Candidates should be comfortable with emergency protocols and management of acute conditions. Experience with trauma cases and critical care settings is preferred.
