FLB Contractors is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in the construction field to estimate, plan and manage a wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. Salary range for this position $71,200.00 to $80,200.00 Annually plus any other benefits that may be offered. Pay rate will be determined based on your skill and previous experience.

Our firm specializes in Heavy, Highway, Bridge, Concrete, Water and Drainage Projects. Below you will find a summary of the Job Responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for Executive Staff
• Manage the budget and estimate costs associated with each Project
• Determine necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed for each work task
• Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
• Prepare reports regarding job status and Plan construction operations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, plan drawings, special provisions and standard specifications
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
• Assist in negotiations among vendors and subcontractors
• Able to handle on-call and/or emergency operations
• Ensure all deadlines are met
• Review proposals, blueprints, and other documents to estimate the necessary resources for the implementation of a project
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress and quality standards

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR POSITION

• Previous knowledge in civil construction management
• • Skilled in material conversion factors
• Highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask
• Independent worker but also able to work with a team
• Knowledgeable in Excel and Word
• Outstanding mathematical skills
• Strong communications and negotiations skills and Conflict resolution skills
• Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, sketches, and construction specifications related to the Company's areas of work
• Excellent time management ability and able to multi-task
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment and quantity take-off

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR POSITION

• Previous experience in working with governmental agencies
• Previous knowledge in Bridge Construction
• Previous experience in working with the Maryland and Virginia Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials
