Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated SMH Level 1 RN Psych ER to join our team in Rochester, NY. This travel assignment is perfect for a registered nurse with expertise in psychiatric emergency care. You will work in a dynamic environment providing comprehensive assessment and nursing care to patients experiencing emotional disturbances.

- Plan and provide nursing care for patients

- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design treatment plans
- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary
- Assist clients in understanding and accepting the need for treatment
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
- Test for vital signs of pain and ensure appropriate treatments
- Document patient information on medical charts and follow physician's orders
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records of treatments, immunizations, and lab results
- Perform administrative assignments like filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes
- Provide high-quality, courteous service and appropriate referrals as needed
- New York RN License
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
