Overview Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) – OR Tech Location: Hilo, Hawaii, United States Travel assignment starting 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,438–$1,528 per week Shift: Rotating 16-hour shifts Setting: Hospital-based operating room Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,438–$1,528 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 16-hour shifts Start date: 07/27/2026 Work setting: Hospital operating room On-call duties: Available for 24/7 call coverage; typical on-call 1–2 times per week, up to 2 weekends per month Orientation: On day shift for up to one week or as determined by management Travel assignment with scrubs provided Responsibilities Scrub in for a range of procedures across multiple specialties, including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology Support turnover activities and transport patients as needed to support OR workflow Maintain sterile technique, assist surgeons and circulating staff, and manage instrument counts and room setup Assist with turnover cleaning between cases and ensure proper room readiness for subsequent procedures Participate in on-call coverage as assigned (average 1-2 on-call shifts per week; up to 2 weekends per month; 20-minute call-back expectation) Complete orientation on day shift and adhere to department protocols; comply with health clearance requirements prior to start Requirements Hawaii state license required by start date; traveler not currently in possession of an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in a hospital setting Demonstrated ability to scrub for diverse case types listed (General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, Gynecology) Ability to work rotating 17-hour shifts and participate in a 24/7 call schedule Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health prerequisites Willingness to complete up to 39 shifts during the contract if time-off is requested (RTO) Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Orientation and onboarding assistance On-time processing and coordination for required health clearances Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
