Pharmacist – Long-Term Care / Mail Order Pharmacy

North Carolina | 13-Week Contract-to-Hire | Day Shift

RPh on the Go is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with a Long-Term Care Mail Order Pharmacy in North Carolina.

Schedule
Day Shift
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Monday–Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM or 10:00 AM–8:00 PM

Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse patterns
Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Identify and communicate drug-related problems and recommendations
Compound medications and prepare sterile products as needed
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Educate patients on proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters

Requirements
Active North Carolina Pharmacist License
Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
Long-Term Care and/or Mail Order pharmacy experience preferred
Sterile compounding experience preferred
