Opportunity:


RN - Labor and Delivery


Job Details:


• 12-hour variable day and night shifts with night shifts being the greatest need
• Self-scheduling available with the ability to pick up extra shifts when available
• Rotating weekends every third weekend
• Rotating holidays every other holiday
• Call shift requirements apply
• 2-shift unit-specific orientation provided
• Hospital supplied scrubs provided
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• LDRP experience and C-section recovery experience required (unless under general anesthesia)
• Must be comfortable titrating epidurals and IV medications to induce labor
• Care for patients including vaginal births, C-sections, inductions, special care nursery, and hysterectomy cases
• No antepartum patients on this unit
• Unit consists of 11 total beds serving labor and postpartum patients, 1 OR suite for C-sections, and 1 triage bed
• Facility follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
• OB physician in-house 24/7 and anesthesia in-house 24/7
• Respiratory therapy in-house to assist with special care nursery patients
• Agency nurses will not serve as charge nurses
• Floating to other units may be required as staffing allows but not as primary nurse
• Must clock in and out at the facility

The Labor and Delivery unit is equipped with modern electronic fetal monitoring systems including Novii and GE, and maintains a special care nursery supported by in-house respiratory therapy. The facility operates with a strong commitment to patient safety, following AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios and providing around-the-clock OB and anesthesia coverage to support safe delivery outcomes.
