Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Gastroenterology

Description This contract position is on-site, providing a unique opportunity to deliver quality healthcare within our Medical Practice environment. As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients, addressing a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing patient health and well-being, while also ensuring continuity of care during periods of staff absence. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations and medical histories Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders Perform endoscopic procedures as necessary Develop and implement patient treatment plans Collaborate with nursing and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety Maintain accurate and timely medical records Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health Participate in continuing education and professional development activities Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred Experience in a clinical setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to patient-centered care Knowledge of electronic health record systems Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, minimum 2 weeks per month No call shifts required Setting: Outpatient Daily Volume: 12-15 general procedures or 6-8 advanced procedures, 8 patients Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
