Quality EngineerCategory: ProfessionalLocation: Sterling Heights, MI 48310Pay: $85,000.00 AnnuallyStatus: OpenDescriptionQuality EngineerSalary up to $95k DOEWhat's in it for you?Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansPTO/VacationBi-Weekly Pay401kAnd More!Quality Engineer DetailsDirect Hire position$ 85,000.00 to $ 95,000.00 / annuallySalariedEstablish and maintain quality standards for products, processes and systems.Design, implement and maintain Quality Control systems.Monitor production processes and test products to identify potential issues and ensure quality standards are met.Conduct regular audits and inspections of processes, products, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.Investigate, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions.Involved in training employees on quality procedures and standardsWork with CMM inspection in regard to measurement method & measurement structure.Work with other leaders in problem solving of manufacturing issues and continuous process improvement.Perform part buyoff from manufacturing work centers.Perform work in accordance with company Procedures, Work Instructions, etc.Observe all safety rules and regulations. Follow instructions, identify hazards, and notify appropriate personnel to immediately correct the matter.Assist and support other department functions where applicableConduct operations in a cost-effective and cost-conscious manner.Quality Engineer QualificationsBachelor degree in engineering discipline or equivalent.In lieu of a bachelor degree, 6+ years of experience in an Automotive and/or Aerospace Manufacturing / Machining / Assembly plant is acceptable.Working knowledge of PAPP and APQP activities.Proficient in reading and understanding various technical documents such as prints, material specification sheets, etc.Knowledge of IATF 16949 and/or AS9100, ISO 9001 standards.Knowledge of NADCAP standards is a plus.Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, problems, and ideas to various levels within the organization.Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools – RCCA problem solving, PPAP, DOE, SPC, GR&R, Cpk, etc.Able to complete final acceptance activities including validating customer required documentation.Proficient in internal auditing.Support quarterly management review meetings.Establish, monitor and evaluate quality system metricWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
