About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Sales and Business Development to lead the charge in driving profitable revenue growth, expanding market share, and enhancing strategic customer relationships across North America. This executive leadership role is pivotal in partnering with the company's ownership to develop and execute growth strategies, build new business, and lead commercial initiatives within the fresh produce industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales and business development strategies, building and strengthening relationships with various customer segments, and leading negotiations for key agreements. A strong focus on market intelligence, mentoring the sales organization, and cross-functional collaboration to support customer success and profitable growth is also essential. The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Sales and Business Development position at the company will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development within the fresh produce industry. A proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and developing strategic customer relationships is a must, along with an established network of industry contacts. The role requires a strong understanding of produce sourcing, distribution, supply chain, and logistics, as well as exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to execute with urgency and accountability are key competencies for success in this position.
