Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Dental Hygienist - Two Day/Week Benefits: Base pay $50–$60 per hour. Job Purpose Promotes dental health by completing prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Responsibilities Work in partnership with the doctor to capture prosthodontic exam information for implant treatment planning. Collaborate with Sales Consultants to ensure world‑class patient care and achieve revenue targets. Prepare the treatment room and patient for dental hygiene treatment, including welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping. Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. Maintain instrumentation by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Select materials and equipment for each visit based on the patient's oral health. Perform dental prophylaxis, cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and surrounding structures. Conduct oral cancer screening and periodontal and peri‑implant examinations. Apply fluoride and other cavity‑preventing agents to arrest decay. Fabricate and maintain temporary restorations, removable appliances, and fillings. Assist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies, maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies. Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care. Document all services, record vital signs, medical histories, and chart in patient records. Ensure patient confidentiality and secure data handling. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection‑control policies. Perform preventive maintenance on dental equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions. Manage dental supplies inventory, monitor stock levels, place orders, and verify receipt. Conserve resources by using materials efficiently. Participate in continuing education, professional publications, and societies to maintain knowledge. Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience as a dental hygienist. Experience selling dental hygiene products with a proven sales record. Experience with dental implants, especially fixed full‑arch prostheses, strongly desired. Commitment to providing world‑class patient experience. Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with contact management preferred. Professional appearance and demeanor. Knowledge of dental technology, health maintenance, infection control, and safe environment creation.
