Step into a rewarding full-time contract role supporting education as a bilingual (Spanish/English) paraprofessional in a vibrant school environment near Midland Park, NJ! This opportunity runs for the entire 2026–2027 school year, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 32.5 hours per week. You’ll provide essential one-on-one support to an 8th grade ESL student in a life skills classroom—making a meaningful impact each day by bridging communication between the student and their teachers.

Key Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory
- Proven experience as a paraprofessional in a school or similar setting
- Previous work supporting ESL learners preferred
- Able to relate to and engage middle school students
- Strong communication, patience, and cultural sensitivity
- Willing to collaborate within a diverse classroom and school team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 translation and communication support for an 8th grade ESL student
- Assist the student in understanding instruction, classroom activities, and assignments
- Work collaboratively with the lead teacher in a life skills classroom
- Support social, academic, and behavioral growth for the student
- Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom atmosphere
- Track and communicate student progress to educators as needed
