Payroll Specialist

Job Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Rexel team in Dallas, TX! (Hybrid) Summary: The Payroll Specialist II is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll cycle as well as payroll reporting. Manage various inputs and outputs such as third party interfaces, timekeeping, garnishments, tax filing/compliance, accounting, benefits, and other key areas that integrate with payroll is essential. Interact daily with the client as well as internal business partners. What You'll Do Execute payroll cycles and associated payroll programs timely and accurately Conduct pre and post payroll reconciliation and provide final sign-off to exit Perform complex analysis of payroll issues that may impact a single employee or groups of employees to determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions Work closely with other business areas (tax, benefits, IT, etc.) to ensure seamless end-to-end execution Provide assistance to Payroll Specialists and Service Center agents as needed Facilitate requirements gathering for change order requests, conduct required testing, and provide final review of complex systems changes or system enhancements related to payroll services Maintain system uploads as they pertain to payroll data entry Assist with other payroll projects as needed Develop and maintain effective relationships with client contacts and key business partners Other duties as assigned Job Duties Disclaimer The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job. Qualifications What You'll Need 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with a large size company of 6,000 employees Previous experience/proven ability to accurately and timely complete all payroll processing responsibilities for 6,000+ employees ADP experience preferred Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred High School or GED - Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional customer service skills Excellent multi-tasking capabilities while maintaining organization and meticulous attention to detail Strong computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC), company communication tools (e.g. email, internet), and Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong knowledge of payroll reporting systems Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Excellent customer service skills Additional Information Physical Demands Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Constantly – at least 51% Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Occasionally – up to 20% Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% Weight and Force Demands Up to 10 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% Rexel USA (A VEVRAA Federal Contractor), and its affiliated companies, is an EEO/Disabled/Veterans employer.
