This contract role offers the chance to foster growth and confidence in 2nd and 3rd-grade students, primarily through individualized and small-group instruction tailored to their IEPs. Located in the Cranston, RI area, this position starts as soon as possible and runs through June 17th, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Special Education Certification is required.
• Passion and commitment to helping children with diverse learning needs reach their full potential.
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level preferred.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction for students in 2nd or 3rd grade, focusing on individualized educational goals.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, providing progress reports and participating in meetings as needed.
• Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for each student.
• Maintain organized records and consistent communication with parents or guardians.

Positions are full-time, scheduled for 37.5 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
