Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Proficiency with heart and lung transplant procedures, valve replacements, aortic dissection, and other advanced cardiovascular cases
• Ability to receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation
• Strong understanding of Vascular, Thoracic, and Cardiac surgery protocols
• Current BCLS and NBSTSA certifications
• Excellent technical and clinical skills, attention to detail, and teamwork

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted cardiac surgery and TAVR procedures
• Familiarity with EVAR, TEVAR, and VAD management
• Prior experience in high-acuity surgical settings

Preferred Education and Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technology Professional (NBSTSA-certified)
• Prior experience working in a surgical services role within a trauma or specialty hospital setting

Other Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted with Level 1 Trauma experience
• Call requirement: 90-120 hours within a 6-week schedule
• Availability to work the day 3x12-hour shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Candidates must provide 2-3 days of interview availability upon submission
• Valid state licensure, travel reimbursements, and applicable certifications provided
• Please note: Effective November 30, 2024, Indiana-based RNs will not be permitted to work at IU Health facilities (with some exceptions), though Periop/OR RNs and travelers are exempt and may continue working
