Peer Mentor

The Peer Mentor shares the responsibility for ensuring that our youth receive professional, safe care in a well-maintained and secure environment. In this function the Peer Mentor shares the responsibility to ensure that YMCA, and DMH policies are applied. The Peer Mentor will utilize their experiences, communication skills, knowledge of treatment systems and motivational and encouragement skills to support our youth. The Peer Mentor will provide our youth with a positive role model, work to enhance the self-worth of our youth and assist our youth with their efforts at reaching their full potential. The Peer Mentor will contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in his/her job and cooperation with their co-workers. The Peer Mentor will reflect and display the Old Colony Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Location(s) 238 North Main Street, Fall River , Massachusetts 02720 Requirements High School diploma or the equivalent Work related experience working with adolescents preferred. Experience within Social Services. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Human Services (preferred, not required).
