About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Transportation Officer to lead and develop the vision and long-term plan for transportation policy and capital projects in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a large, multidisciplinary team and will be tasked with addressing critical challenges such as congestion, traffic safety, and air quality. This role demands a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who can champion innovative solutions and ensure the efficient use of funding. The Chief Transportation Officer will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including elected officials, transportation agencies, and advocacy groups. Applicants for the Chief Transportation Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in regional planning, public service, and infrastructure/economic development, with at least 5 years' in a management capacity focused on transportation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, the ability to navigate complex political environments, and a commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency. Key responsibilities include strategic delivery, team development, and the integration of large-scale infrastructure projects into regional planning efforts.
