Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12 hour shifts; patient ratios 1:4 to 1:6; weekend coverage required (12 weekend shifts per contract); floating required between Medical/Surgical units and Intermediate Care units

Highlights:

• Float Pool position rotating between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units across multiple specialties including observation, trauma surgical, joint, stroke, palliative care, renal, women's health, and bariatric surgery
• Epic EMR system – recent experience required
• Comprehensive patient population including acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, MI, unstable angina, trauma, post-ICU/STICU, DKA, NSTEMI, and post-STEMI patients
• Advanced skills utilized: cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, blood transfusions, TPN, feeding tubes, post cardiac catheterization care with TR Band management
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Contract assignment with 13-week initial placement; travel nursing experience required

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2+ years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years recent IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience in a hospital setting – required, no exceptions
• Recent Epic EMR experience – required, no exceptions
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Must be comfortable floating across all Med/Surg and IMC specialties
• COVID-19 vaccination required – no exemptions
• Flu vaccination required – no exemptions
• Two-step PPD required
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted
