Manufacture Controller
Job Description:Financial Controller to be responsible for all company accounting and financial activities. Additional responsibility for managing MIS/IT activities. Scope of Duties:
• Accounting - Manage all aspects of routine accounting activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Reporting - Financial, tax and other reporting as required by Management, the Board of Directors, Government and Contractual Partners.
• Budgeting – Short & long term forecasts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets and Statements of Cash Flow.
• Day-to-day cash management and banking including short & long term loans & investments.
• Management Information Systems - Control and security of systems and records.
• Management of daily MIS/IT needs
• Ensure cyber security and customer IT compliance. Experience and Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
• 5 years experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager in a manufacturing company. Automotive industry preferred.
• Experience in public accounting preferred.
• Professional Accounting Designation (CMA or CPA) preferred.
• Strong background in MIS/IT
• Experience with QAD MFG/PRO preferred. Responsibilities:
• Takes ownership of company financial and accounting systems.
• Leads all accounting, finance, & financial audit activities ensuring:
o All activities are carried out efficiently and effectively supporting the company’s operational and financial goals.
o Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards are followed.
o Inventory is properly valued and proper reporting of product line profitability.
o State & Federal Operating Licenses & Reporting Requirements are met.
o Effective supervision of AP/AR subordinate staff members. Currently 2 subordinates.
o Effective supervision of payroll processing.
• Take ownership of MIS/IT systems
o Administer network users and software.
o Support all IT functions daily.
o Maintain compliance with customer IT and cyber security requirements. Personal Specifications:
• Projects a professional image at all times.
• Able to work autonomously.
• Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily, maintaining effective communication between all management, company directors, customers, suppliers, banks, and employees. Conditions of Employment:
• Full time salaried on-site position.
• Reports to company Managing Director with dotted line to parent company CFO.
• Hours worked according to the demands of the operation.
