PRN/ Clinical Specialist Pharmacist

Overview The clinical pharmacist will serve as a specialist within a specialty practice area such as oncology, transplant, critical care, or nutrition support. Responsibilities Assesses and evaluates drug therapy and makes recommendations as appropriate. Serves as a preceptor for students and residents. Provides resources and guidance for pharmacists advancing their clinical skills. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Eligible for Georgia licensure and licensed in Georgia prior to the start date. Completion of ASHP‑accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residencies or equivalent experience. BPS certification preferred. BLS certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. Physical Requirements Items to be performed: 20–50 lbs (occasionally); 11–25 lbs (frequently); 1–10 lbs (constantly). Lifting up to 50 lbs max, carrying objects up to 25 lbs. Occasional to frequent standing, walking, sitting, close eye work on computers and typing. Environmental Factors Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, bio‑hazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care, radiation, shift work, travel. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required.
