Senior Sourcing SpecialistThe Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the sourcing of components used in the production of vacuum pumps that meet the requirements in terms of quality, price, and delivery performance.You WillIdentify and research new suppliers and sourcing opportunities globally, with a strong focus on local sourcing when feasibleRegular collaboration with engineering, product management, and production teams on material requirementsDevelop and cultivate positive relationships with assigned supplier base as the escalation point of contactNegotiate Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers per Company requirementsUse root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement activities across 4 key performance indicators: quality, on-time delivery, cost, and net working capitalDevelop and implement commodity strategies to map current and future states to determine continuous improvement activitiesUtilize quoting, value engineering, make v. buy analysis, etc. to support corporate cost reduction effortsSupport Operational Purchasing team with vendor creation and maintenanceCollaborate with Operational Purchasing and Planning to ensure purchasing plans are optimized for production requirements and lowest TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)Participate in regular supplier business reviews in collaboration with Operational Purchasing (Supplier Scorecard Reviews)Effective communication with internal and external key stakeholdersFull compliance with all Company safety and ethics requirementsTo succeed you will needThe ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employees or others. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or procurement in a production environment • Solid negotiation skills • Results focused with the ability to report on KPIs • Analyze and use critical thinking, looking into problems and identifying root causes with facts, numbers, and sound logic • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications • Casting, machining, assembly, and metal fabrication processes are a plus • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, a second language is a plus • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word • Good verbal and written communication skills • Experienced with MRP systems, SAP preferredEducational requirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain or equivalent experience***Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.***
