The Payroll Clerk assists with processing the weekly payroll, which includes entering time cards, proofing data entry, and inserting and distributing paychecks. The clerk performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor and maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures. This is an Entry Level Position.

Qualifications

• At least two years of previous experience in payroll or other related fields is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

• Manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
• Must maintain confidentiality to protect personal and private information.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook), data entry, and general math skills.
• Be able to analyze information, pay attention to detail, be thorough, and organization.
• Must be dependable (consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
• Limited physical activity is required.
• No or minimal exposure to physical risk.
• No or minimal physical effort is required.
• Work performed in-office setting.
