May assist in pre-construction activities.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating ResponsibilitiesDevelops and/or compiles discipline and multi-discipline material take-offs (MTOs)Evaluates and/or develops labor rates and subcontract costsEnters the information into a spreadsheet or database for inclusion in an estimateAssists in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments (with additional experience within one specialty)Pre-Construction ActivitiesAssist the Pre-Construction/Estimating team in developing preliminary Work PackagesMinimum Qualifications2+ years of relevant experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Preferred QualificationsBS or MS graduate in Construction Management or related field is preferredField experience is a plusProject experience is a plusPreferred Skills:Understanding of estimating principles/proceduresMathematical skillsAnalytical skillsInterpret and understand:specifications and contractstypical construction drawingsMicrosoft Office 365Microsoft CoPilot 365Good verbal and written communication skillsCalculatorWork Environment/Physical DemandsTypical office environment.Salary PlanEST: EstimatingJob Grade014Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
