Description:

Practice at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center with 35,000 visits per year. The facility offers a full-service hospital with a 24/7 hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI in the department, bed-side ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room. With 42 hours of physician coverage per day, it is a tertiary center with 300+ physicians and specialist support including trauma surgery, neurosurgery, cardiology, GI, ENT, pediatric hospitalists, OBGYN, pulmonary/critical care, neurology, infectious disease, ortho surgery, vascular surgery, anesthesia, radiology, etc. Only transfers out less than 1% of patients. Practice at one site with teaching opportunities for residents, med-students, PA/ARNP students.

• Employment benefits with a benefit value over $65,000!
• Base salary: $471,265/year ($251/hour)- DAY SHIFT; $490,116/year ($261.81/hour)- NIGHT SHIFT
• $100,000 recruitment bonus
• Extra shift bonus pay- $276.92/hr (day); $301.09/hr (night)
• 1620 hours/year for full-time
• Annual CME allowance of $6,000
• Employer paid liability insurance and tail coverage
• Benefits start day 1 of employment: Health, dental, vision, life, short term/long term disability coverage
• 403 (b) retirement program with employer contribution and employer matching; optional and additional 457 (b) deferred compensation plan
• Up to $15,000 moving allowance

• Network service area - approximately 260,000

Qualifications:

• BC/BE Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible
• Must complete an ER Residency Program or ER Fellowship
• H1B & J1 candidates encouraged to apply
• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
