This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. As part of a hardworking team of technicians and engineers, you will build human-rated orbital launch vehicles.In this role, you will directly lead and supervise technicians and coordinate additional teammates such as manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, production controllers, schedulers, etc. You will have ultimate and full responsibility for guiding your crew with the Manufacturing of TPS products.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!If you share our passions and vision, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, excel at integrating and coordinating multi-functional teams of individuals, are experienced and skilled in several relevant technologies and methodologies continuously seek out opportunities to learn and improve, and do not allow title or job description to limit the depth or breadth of your contributions, then we would love to hear from you. - Shifts available:**A** Shift M-Th.Interviews will include a technical assessment**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*** Supervise personnel working TPS Manufacturing day-to-day operations with emphasis on Safety, to include scheduling and delegation of work.* Guide teammates and ensure that each person has everything vital to safely succeed* Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain phenomenal people* Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth* Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations* Develop and implement process, efficiency, and continuous safety improvements* Responsible for prioritizing and establishment of Work Center assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employees* Maintain all shop programs including Safety, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Clean as you go programs**Culture Statement:*** Don’t meet all desired requirements? You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Minimum 5 years experience Supervising/Leading in a similar field.* CNC Experience with Quilters, laser cutters, routers, splitters, PLCS and Valves.* Lean/5S* Familiar with Automated equipment and operations.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Familiar with Lasers, Commercial Quilting machines, Bonding, Furnace operations, Valves and PLCs.* Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures* Exceptional organizational, analytical, and coordination skills* Continuous improvement mentality.
