Shift Leader

Overview Huey Magoo's is customer‑centric and demanding. Our work environment includes an international workforce and a lively atmosphere. We are looking for a Shift Leader to oversee operations and workers during scheduled shifts. Shift Leader responsibilities include managing cash, resolving conflicts, and checking equipment. Responsibilities Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts Schedule employee shifts and assign duties Manage time‑off requests and handle last‑minute absences Train and coach new employees Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits Ensure health and safety standards are followed Address customer and employee complaints Resolve conflicts between workers Foster and maintain a positive work environment Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations Commitment to excellent service Working well within a team Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast Strong problem‑solving aptitude Ability to stand for long periods High school diploma is preferred Assistant Restaurant Manager Responsibilities Provide leadership to each team member and ensure each customer gets a fast, accurate and friendly experience. Manage systems such as training, food safety, customer/employee safety and security, cash handling and inventory management. Set targets, delegate tasks, follow up and report to the General Manager. Required to complete daily food safety checks including FIFO, secondary code dates, Health Inspections and actively monitor food handling. Engage in customer/employee safety including keeping the restaurant a clean and safe environment. Maintain basic cash handling skills. Understand and enforce all applicable Child Labor Laws. Maintain a professional appearance and hold all team members accountable to wear the correct uniforms. Must have great communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude. Additional Requirements Assistant Restaurant Managers will be required to have a ServSafe certificate. Any leadership training completed will need to be communicated. Be able to identify training opportunities with fellow team members, train team members to communicate with customers to ensure a friendly experience.
