Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Healthcare systems, Medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Customer Service Representative – Specialty Pharmacy =============================================== Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Healthcare/Pharmacy Location: Hybrid (Cary, NC) Duration: 4+ months Schedule: Permanent Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM for 8–12 weeks Position starts onsite. After training and upon reaching required performance goals, there is a possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. Hybrid work is based on meeting required goals and is not guaranteed. Must-Have Requirements: Customer Service Prescription Refill Scheduling Medication Delivery Coordination Insurance Verification Data Entry & Documentation Progress Note Documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration Customer Inquiry Resolution Job Description: The Customer Service Representative serves as a primary resource for inbound customer calls, handling non-clinical inquiries and supporting prescription fulfillment workflows. This role assists patients with prescription status, refill scheduling, medication delivery, payment, insurance information, and other service-related needs. The position works closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely medication delivery, and a positive customer experience. Responsibilities: Serve as a primary resource for inbound telephone calls related to non-clinical customer inquiries. Handle inbound and outbound calls to coordinate medication delivery and payment. Ensure accurate patient information is maintained so medications can be distributed in a timely manner. Respond directly to customer inquiries when appropriate or route calls to the appropriate staff for prompt resolution. Assist customers with prescription and refill status. Assist with pending or shipped prescription information. Assist with refill needs. Assist with insurance verification. Assist with financial information. Assist with invoice copy requests. Schedule prescription refills and address patient questions or concerns. Transfer clinical questions or concerns to pharmacists or nurses when appropriate. Document clear and concise progress notes so other team members can quickly assess referral status. Utilize management information systems to research and respond to customer inquiries. Identify and report Adverse Events (AEs) and Product Complaints (PCs) to clinicians to support patient safety.
