Safety Officer

Ensure the safety of employees Conduct safety meetings and briefings Identify potential hazards and report accidents or near misses to management Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Attend pre-work meetings and produce job-specific APP and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) Work on-site as a member of the project team to implement and continuously monitor and enforce project APP and AHAs Ensure activities comply with OSHA and other applicable regulations Conduct regular site inspections, record violations, and identify remediation needed Prepare reports of safety inspections and complete safety documentation and paperwork Coordinate responses to on-site emergencies and interface with emergency response entities Conduct safety training, new employee orientation, refresher training, and on-the-spot training Work with management to develop safety policies, refine existing policies, modify design requirements, and draft construction-related specifications Manage and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and other professionals Perform other duties as assigned Requirements 3+ years’ experience as a Site Safety Health Officer Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards Proficient in PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, iPad and iPhone #J-18808-Ljbffr
