WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work alongside our pharmacists and pharmacy team to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and provide great service to our customers. Your day may include:
- Processing prescription refills and assisting with prescription workflow
- Answering phones and helping customers with questions and refill requests
- Using our pharmacy computer system to manage prescriptions and customer information
- Processing customer transactions and payments
- Completing prescription and patient intake information
- Counting and preparing medications using pharmacy equipment
- Restocking medication vials and pharmacy supplies
- Processing online and automatic refills
- Learning about DME products and services available to our customers
- Communicating professionally with customers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Protecting customer privacy and following HIPAA requirements
- Helping create a positive experience for every customer who walks through our doors
- Friendly and customer-focused
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and ready to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and healthcare professionals
- Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
- Able to handle stressful situations with a positive attitude
- Pharmacy experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person!
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to successfully pass an FBI/BCI background check
- Ability to meet required continuing education requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday
- Evening and weekend availability may be required
