Commercial Lines Sales Manager

About the Opportunity

I am seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Lines Sales Manager to lead, develop, and grow a high-performing commercial insurance sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving new business production, coaching sales professionals, strengthening carrier relationships, and executing strategic growth initiatives across the commercial lines portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Lines Producers to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
• Establish and execute strategic sales plans to drive profitable organic growth.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor new sales talent.
• Monitor producer performance and provide ongoing training, sales coaching, and accountability.
• Partner with marketing, account management, and carrier partners to maximize client acquisition and retention.
• Identify target industries, market opportunities, and growth strategies.
• Maintain a strong personal presence in the marketplace through networking, referrals, and industry events.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on annual sales forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
• Ensure adherence to agency compliance standards and carrier requirements.
• Analyze sales metrics, pipeline activity, and performance trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of commercial insurance sales experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or sales management experience within an insurance agency, brokerage, or carrier environment.
• Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty products including:
• Proven ability to develop producer talent and drive sales performance.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license required (or ability to obtain immediately).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
