As a Security Officer with Active Clearance Desk Reception in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help maintain a professional, secure environment through attention to detail and timely response to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a technology-focused location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communications systems, escalating irregular activity or access concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional lobby presence, provide directions and general assistance, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent visitor-management practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
