Rehabilitation Nurse

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Rehab or Med-Surg experience - IV experience Description: Unit Information: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with 19 beds. Staffing ratio is 6:1, depending on patient census. Typical staff during day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters. Night shift follows a 6:1 patient ratio. Common equipment includes mechanical lifts, Sara Steady, Baxter pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and EMR systems. Skill Set: Candidates must have experience in rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing, as well as IV skills. Preferred experience includes wound care and knowledge of stroke and TBI management. Personality Fit: Candidates should be flexible, kind, and thorough. Floating Areas: Potential floating to critical care or medical-surgical units. Dress Code: Plain color scrubs required. Weekend and On-call Requirements: Every other weekend required. General Comments: Position is created to fill a vacant role.
