PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a pharmacy technician (or tech-in-training) to take part in our pharmacy team as we strive to provide quality care to our patients. We are an independent pharmacy located in Town & Country Foods in Belgrade, MT. This is a part-time / casual call position.

High school graduate or equivalent and must be at least 18 years of age

Registration with the Montana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) OR must become registered as a Pharmacy Technician-in-training with the expectation of becoming certified within the required 18 month period

Experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required

Experience in community pharmacy or a retail setting will also be preferred

Positive and helpful attitude and ability to work well on a team

Knowledge of basic computer and software use

Ability to function under pressure and adapt to different tasks

Willingness to help customers and other pharmacy staff

Flexibility with schedule and ability to work occasional weekends

Ability to follow pharmacy policies and procedures

Assist pharmacist with data entry, dispensing medications, answering phones, resolving insurance claims, and helping customers at the pharmacy window

Maintaining product inventory

Helping customers locate OTC products in the store

Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy
