Bob Hewes Boats is a fourth-generation, family-owned marine dealership serving South Florida since 1926. As we continue to grow our digital presence, we are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist with marine industry knowledge who understands both traditional digital marketing and the rapidly changing world of AI-driven search.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Marine Industry Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and grow our digital presence across search engines, paid advertising, social media, and emerging AI search platforms.

This is not simply a social media position. We are looking for someone who understands the complete digital marketing ecosystem and knows how to turn marketing efforts into qualified leads, website traffic, brand visibility, and ultimately sales.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience marketing boats, outboard engines, marine products, dealerships, manufacturers, or other businesses within the recreational marine industry.

Key Responsibilities

SEO/AEO, SEM & GEO

• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and website traffic.
• Manage SEM campaigns and paid search initiatives.
• Develop and implement GEO strategies to improve the company's visibility within AI-powered search and answer platforms.
• Optimize website content for traditional search engines as well as emerging AI search experiences.
• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, backlink analysis, and ongoing website optimization.
• Monitor search rankings, website traffic, conversions, and lead generation.

Google Ads & Paid Digital Advertising

• Build, manage, monitor, and optimize Google Ads campaigns.
• Manage search, display, remarketing, and other appropriate paid advertising campaigns.
• Monitor advertising budgets, cost per lead, conversion rates, and overall campaign ROI.
• Continually test and refine campaigns to improve performance.
• Track leads and conversions to determine which campaigns are producing actual sales opportunities.

Meta & Social Media

• Manage and optimize Meta advertising, including Facebook and Instagram campaigns.
• Develop and execute organic social media strategies across dealership platforms.
• Create and manage targeted campaigns based on geography, customer demographics, boating interests, and purchasing behavior.
• Work with internal staff to develop engaging boating, product, dealership, lifestyle, and promotional content.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and professional image across all platforms.
• Monitor engagement, audience growth, leads, and campaign performance.

Website, Content & Analytics

• Work with website providers and internal staff to maintain accurate, current, and optimized website content.
• Develop digital campaigns supporting boat sales, outboard sales, service, parts, events, boat shows, and dealership promotions.
• Monitor Google Analytics and other reporting platforms to evaluate marketing performance.
• Create clear monthly reporting showing traffic, leads, conversions, advertising spend, cost per lead, and ROI.
• Identify opportunities to improve website conversion rates and lead generation.
• Stay current on changes to Google, Meta, search algorithms, AI search, and digital marketing technology.

Marine Industry Marketing

• Understand the seasonal nature of boat sales, boat shows, fishing and boating events, model-year introductions, manufacturer promotions, and the South Florida marine market.
• Work with boat and engine manufacturers on cooperative advertising, campaigns, creative assets, and marketing initiatives.
• Assist with marketing surrounding boat shows, dealership events, new product launches, and special promotions.
• Work collaboratively with our sales, service, parts, and management teams to ensure marketing efforts support dealership goals.

Qualifications

• Previous marine industry marketing experience strongly preferred. Knowlwge of the marine industry a must.
• Demonstrated experience with SEO, SEM, GEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and social media marketing.
• Strong understanding of digital advertising strategy and campaign optimization.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Business Profiles, Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager, and related digital marketing tools.
• Understanding of local SEO and multi-location business marketing.
• Familiarity with AI search and emerging Generative Engine Optimization strategies.
• Ability to analyze marketing data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, dealership locations, brands, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong computer and technology skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of boats, outboard engines, fishing, and the recreational marine industry is a significant advantage.
