Registered Nurse (RN) - Float - STAR Team

Location 80 Seymour Street (10008) Position Registered Nurse (RN) Float – Med Surg-StepDown-ED About the Role As a member of Hartford Hospital’s Float Pool (STAR Team), you will provide nursing care across multiple units including Med/Surg, Step Down, and ED. You will transition between specialties, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and deliver personalized, compassionate care in a high‑volume acute care environment. Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care across assigned units. Transition between Med/Surg and Step Down units as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives. Provide education and support to patients and families. Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience; critical care experience preferred. Current Connecticut RN license required prior to start date.
