Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment. Deliver urgent medical interventions, assess patient conditions, and coordinate care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Stabilize and triage incoming emergency patients rapidly and accurately.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency procedures per protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress thoroughly.
• Float to related units such as Psych Hold to provide flexible support as needed.
• Participate in call, holiday rotations, and required overtime to maintain staffing coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of prior travel ER experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work every OTHER weekend, with call and holiday rotation commitments.
• Capable of floating between departments and handling high-pressure situations.
