Quality Assurance ManagerThe Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality control procedures and programs to ensure that customer expectations are consistently met. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Corporate Director of Quality Management. This position will oversee all QA for a brand new highly automated facility currently being built in Columbus, Mississippi.Job ResponsibilitiesInspection Procedures: Verify that inspection procedures used by all personnel are accurate and compliant with established quality control standardsTeam Management: Lead and manage a team of quality professionals to ensure that parts meet all customer specifications.Quality Standards: Maintain and update quality control standards and procedures, ensuring that all relevant personnel are informed and compliantISO Compliance: Support the management team in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and assist during ISO and customer auditsMaterial Inspection: Oversee the inspection of incoming and outgoing materials to confirm that specifications are metCorrective Actions: Evaluate rejected material (both internal and external) and manage the corrective action system to reduce nonconformances and wastePPAP Submissions: Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions to customers and ensure all requirements are satisfiedTraining Programs: Develop and implement programs to educate, train, and update all personnel on quality control proceduresGage Calibration: Manage the gage calibration system, ensuring that all gages are properly calibrated and maintainedInspection Technology: Integrate new inspection technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the inspection processOther Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Corporate Director of Quality ManagementQualifications8+ years of experience in a quality management role, preferably within the metal fabrication industry4-year college degree or equivalent, preferably with a technical or engineering focusLead activities and reporting to gain and maintain IATF/ISO certificationFamiliar with customer/supplier PPMUtilize quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, Control plans, 8D, 5 WhyExperience with Steel/Aluminum surface inspection for exposed and unexposed automotive applicationsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAdvanced skills in problem solving and Statistical Process Control (SPC).Experience in hiring, developing, and managing a team of quality professionalsProficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, etcStrong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Preferred QualificationsStrong computer and technical skillsFamiliarity with the ISO-9001 standardExcellent analytical abilities for assessing and resolving quality issuesStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail in all aspects of workExceptional organizational and time management skillsMust be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasksBenefits401(k) with Company MatchHealth insurance – Medical/Prescription DrugDentalVisionHealth Savings AccountWellness StipendPaid Life insurancePaid Long-Term Disability InsurancePaid Short-Term Disability InsuranceAdoption Assistance (Financial)Adoption & Fertility Navigation SupportPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysReferral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountTuition reimbursementEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
