Internal Hire OnlyRequisition SummaryThis role is responsible for driving the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and ensuring execution of process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, deliver, cost, morale, and environment. Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesImplement Lean Manufacturing Principles in assigned departments to include standard work, visual management, workplace organization, and teamworkManage process improvement efforts such as Kaizen events, scrap reduction, and 5s to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery and costDrive the implementation of production standards and quality control programsEnsures planned metrics of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded for area of responsibilityResponsible for managing direct reports in accordance with production objectives to meet business goalsProvide support for new production implementationDetermine and continually improved staffing utilization within assigned department which promotes schedule stability for maximum return on efficienciesContinually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudesEstablish group and individual accountabilities; track goal attainment by direct reports; and provide leadership and development as required to achieve business results through peopleProvides coverage for Area Managers on both shifts as neededMay perform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree required.1-3 years experience at the supervisory level in an at automotive manufacturing environment or five to seven years experience at the supervisory level in operations or equivalent environment required3-5 years experience at the supervisory level in an automotive manufacturing environment or five to seven years experience at the supervisory level in operations or equivalent environment desiredDemonstrated Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience desiredExperience in Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Table, VLookUp, etc.) requiredAbility to work cross functionally within the organizationAbility to problem solvedPACCAR offers comprehensive benefits from time of hire through retirement for vested employees and their families.
