Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized patient care in a telemetry observation unit, monitoring cardiac and medical conditions for a 10-bed observation setting. Ensure autonomous, high-quality nursing care to facilitate patient recovery and diagnosis clarification during short-term stays.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor patients' cardiac and medical conditions in a telemetry observation environment.
• Assess patient needs, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
• Document patient information and interventions accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including certification and licensing requirements.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure understanding of treatment and diagnosis.

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Proficiency with Cerner or Epic electronic health record systems preferred.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications valid and current.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, acute care setting.
• Willingness to work night shifts, including 3x12-hour shifts and on-call nights.
