Purchase products or services that meet Cleveland Gear & Hellan Strainer Co requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner in support of operations.II. JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESA. Issue and maintains Purchase Orders in support of the production requirementsB. Monitor and maintain inventory levels where Kanban is usedC. Analyze and decrease inventory levels as needed to improve inventory turnsD. Identify vendors to support Cleveland Gear growth initiativesE. Identify and implement cost saving opportunitiesF. Maintain on-time delivery dates and ensure quality requirements are met by the vendorG. Work closely with planning and production to achieve on-time delivery goalsH. Assure all necessary documents contain the correct information requiredI. Follow ISO 9000 procedures and flow down to vendors as neededH. Strive to achieve the best pricing and delivery without compromising quality.QualificationsIII. Preferred QualificationsA. Three (3) years experience in purchasingB. One (1) to two (2) years of collegeC. Three (3) years experience in manufacturingD. Knowledge of MIS systemsE. Experience in multiple commodity purchases
