About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Transportation to spearhead business development, drive strategic growth, and enhance the firm's industry presence. This executive-level, client-facing leadership role is dedicated to winning work, building relationships, and shaping the future of the transportation practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the business development and growth strategy, driving pursuit strategy, and proposal development, as well as building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of industry stakeholders. Advising on market trends, pricing strategies, and practice growth opportunities, and mentoring transportation professionals in business development and client engagement are also key aspects of the position. Applicants for the Vice President of Transportation role at the company should hold a PE or TE license, with AICP certification preferred, and have a minimum of 12 years' experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or transportation consulting. A proven track record in winning work and developing client relationships, a strong industry network, and experience in presenting to various levels of decision-makers are essential. The role requires a deep understanding of industry standards and practices, including LOS, VMT, traffic impact analysis, signal timing, and CEQA/NEPA requirements. Proficiency in industry software such as Synchro, PTV Vistro, TransCAD, Auto-CAD, and ArcGIS is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to influence the growth of the transportation practice and a passion for mentoring the next generation of transportation leaders.
